forests of the Pohorje mountains. History of Muta goes back far
in 12 Jh., where it originally camed out as a settlement around
an office for duty (Muta=Maut)
50 km away
of Muta you can find the well-known city Maribor. Because of its
historical development Maribor offers a multiplicity of historical
and cultural objects of interest. At winter season the international
ski circus organizes a world-cup-race on the Pohorje slopes.
The
positive economic development of the region is to be felt in Maribor
very strongly. Everywhere in the city investments are transacted.
Considerable European companies established their addresses and
manufacturing plants in the passed years into and around Maribor.
A reason for this is surely the supply of well trained technicians
and engineers, who are going to make their termination at the
university of Maribor.
